eatwell With all the [mis or dis]information around, no wonder people is confused about what foods they can eat. There are so many food myths out there –supported by magazines, websites and books of dubious reputation– that the general population is not sure about what a healthy balanced diet looks like.

The UK based Food Standards Agency has recently launched The Eatwell Plate, a practical tool that cuts through the array of conflicting messages around food and reminds us what a healthy diet is. It helps people make confident choices about what they eat by clearly showing the types and proportions of foods that strike a good balance.

Also, make sure to check out the 8 tip for eating well, some tips that will help you make healthier choices.

Finally, if you live in the UK, now your trip to the supermarket will get easier when it comes to healthy food choices. Some stores are adopting a new labelling system with traffic light colours on the label that help customers make the right choice.
